Resolution: be a better blogger. And bake more scones.

(Yeah, yeah I know I say that all the time.)
It has been a scary long time since I updated here….holidays, wedding in less than four months, work, life, blah blah blah. These things all get in the way of my blogging capabilities and I truly wish that I could squeeze more time in my life to do it. But it’s a new year, and as little Laura says, it’s time to be happy and positive and stop being such a cranky face. So here I am..and I’ll start the new year off with some scones.
My soon to be hubs is a bacon and eggs kind of man when it comes to his breakfast of choice….but on a rainy Sunday about a month ago (I KNOW!)….he was in the mood for scones.
Scones are such a yummy breakfast treat, especially in the winter months and I always keep the essentials in the cabinet for weekend breakfasts. I used a recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Scones from the Joy of Baking and tweaked a little by using Ghiardhelli bittersweet baking chips. They add just the right amount of sweetness and were so yummy!

 Here was the turnout:

have a great weekend!
