When I was 12, I decided I wanted to learn how to bake. My Easy Bake Oven, that I had such high hopes for, let me down when my chocolate cake came out undercooked and stuck to the little round pan. I knew then this wasn’t the way to get my sweet fix on. I stole my sister’s home ec. cook book and tried a real recipe didn’t involve a light bulb and ingredients out of package. That recipe was for snickerdoodles.
Who doesn’t love a snickerdoodle? They’re chewy, covered in cinnamon sugar and fun to say. On Tuesday night, I broke out the old Kitchenaid (ok, not really, I just got it in March from my mother as an engagement gift) and made some snickerdoodles. I dipped some in chocolate and dubbed those “snookiedoodles.” (They have a little brown pouf, after all)
