new year calls for a new look

i am still getting my feet wet with this blogging experience, but since I get bored about as easily as a four year old does, I decided it was time for some housekeeping. Plus, I sensed the layout of my blog was getting a little vanilla. (some dessert humor for you) I asked my friend, Meredith, to help me add some spice to my blog here. She obliged and did a wonderful job! We're still working on a few additions here and there, but the new look is great! Thanks for taking the time to help a sista out, Mere!

in the meantime, it snowed a million inches here in Philly and we're stuck inside for the day. I think today is the day I test out my new gadget that I received for Christmas.

Oh yes, it's a Babycakes Cupcake maker. It makes 8 mini cupcakes in 5 minutes. This could get dangerous. results to come....
