Hello friends and followers! Bill and I are getting ready for our trip to Los Angeles tomorrow and I am beyond excited! It has been 12 days since I found out that I was lactose and fructose intolerant and while I am feeling better (and 3 lbs. lighter), my diet has consisted of mostly fruit, cheerios and almond milk, hummus and whole wheat pitas. boring. However, I take vacays and birthdays very seriously and do plan to enjoy myself, but within reason. The last thing I need is to be sick while I’m on the Left Coast, celebrating my 26th year.
I still plan on indulging in my favorite Left Coast items (see below) with a few minor adjustments, yet just to be safe, I have purchased a big package of Lactaid (as suggested by my doctor) and am hoping for the best!

Yummy Cupcakes on the Third Street Promenade carries vegan cupcakes aka Kristen-friendly. I'll probably go for the lemon coconut..what do you think?

in and out burger is a must have when visiting the Left Coast. I will pass up on my typical cheeseburger and chocolate shake meal and opting for a regular hamburger and iced tea. |
