TGIF, loves.
I’d like to dedicate this post to my sweet friend, Meredith. (Visit her blog here. Really, do it.) As I am working on a potential business venture here (stay tuned), I am trying to make my blog more “official”, if you will. Since Meredith knows way more about this blogging business than I do, she is redesigning my blog. (And thanks to Sam for the new logo, too! love it!)
A few things to know about Meredith:
- She puts up with my torture all day, especially when I tell her that my blog needs more buttons.
- She doesn't yell at me when I tell her that she's being a brat.
- She loves doughnuts.
As a newlywed, I think these gadgets should take up permanent residence in the new Mohr townhouse, so that Meredith can make doughnuts all the time, at her hubby's request.
and a recipe, just for good measure and because it's the weekend.
Quick Doughnuts
2 cups of cake flour, such as Presto
1 beaten egg
2/3 cup of milk
Cinnamon sugar mix or powdered sugar
2 cups vegetable oil
Heat oil in a deep pan.
Mix flour, milk and eggs till batter forms.
Using a small ice cream scoop, drop batter in oil, forming
small doughnut holes.
Cook 3-4 minutes or until doughnuts are golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and toss with powdered or cinnamon sugars.
